If you do decide to get a dog, just don’t do it the week your kids are visiting your sister for spring break… even though you think it would be such a good idea to surprise them with a new dog when they get home. Because the kids are gone and the hubs is at work at all day therefore leaving just you and the dog to “bond” which means the dog will attach itself to YOU and follow YOU wherever YOU go and you can’t even go to the BATHROOM without the dog following you in there, fercryinoutloud.
Not that I’m talking from experience or anything…
